Does ChatCamp support group chats?
Yes. Create a private group and invite people nearby, or a nearby public group that other ChatCamp users on the same local network can join. “Nearby public” means discoverable on your Wi‑Fi or hotspot—not on the internet. Mute or leave anytime (this device only). New members start from join time; there is no cloud history sync.
Does ChatCamp work without internet?
Yes. ChatCamp runs on your local Wi‑Fi and does not need internet access. All devices must share the same network (home Wi‑Fi, office LAN, or a Personal Hotspot).
Does ChatCamp support video calls?
Yes. You can start one-to-one video calls over the local network, with mute, camera on/off, camera switch, and speaker controls.
How does ChatCamp protect conversations?
Peer-to-peer connections use Apple’s Multipeer Connectivity encryption. Group messages are sealed on device. ChatCamp has no central messaging server, and conversation history remains on participating devices.
Can I message someone far away?
No. ChatCamp is built for nearby communication. Both users must be on the same local network or Personal Hotspot.
